1996 Trans Am SLP Comp T/A

  • This 1995 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is number 77 of 164 Comp T/A examples modified by SLP Engineering from 1995 through 1997, and it now has 16k miles.
  • Finished in Bright Silver Metallic over Graphite leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 5.7-liter LT1 V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
  • SLP added a composite hood with functional induction scoops and 17″ five-spoke aluminum wheels.
  • Additional equipment includes removable glass T-top roof panels, a rear spoiler, cruise control, aftermarket rockers, headers, and sway bars. 
  • Introduced in 1995, the Comp T/A was modified by SLP Engineering to commemorate the 25th anniversary of BFGoodrich’s premium performance tire of the same name.
  • All Comp T/A examples were finished in Bright Silver Metallic with a dark gray over-the-top stripe and a composite hood with functional air intake scoops. Further exterior details include removable glass T-top panels, pop-up headlights, fog lights, a rear spoiler, left-side twin exhaust outlets, and Comp T/A badging. 
  • Five-spoke 17″ aluminum wheels wear Comp T/A-branded center caps. 
  • The suspension has been modified with a Spohn torque arm and Hotchkis sway bars. The 5.7-liter LT1 V8 features ram-air induction installed by SLP, GM Performance rocker arms, More Performance valve covers, tubular exhaust headers, and an aftermarket exhaust system. 
  • Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential with an AAM cover. A performance stainless-steel exhaust was fitted by SLP Engineering.
