In January of 2009, the GM Heritage Center decided to cut its 1,000 plus car collection by roughly 25%. Much of the auctioned metal was production-based concepts and vintage pilot cars. And that’s exactly where this extremely low mileage Trans Am convertible came from. Equipped with an exceptionally early Firebird VIN, and branded with a “NONSALABLE VEHICLE” door sticker, this car was shipped directly to Pontiac corporate for use as a 25th Anniversary Trans Am pilot car.
